A key alternative to consider: Ecwid
Ecwid is a cloud-based ecommerce solution that integrates seamlessly with WordPress. Its key advantage over WooCommerce is that it allows merchants to sell products across multiple channels (website, social media, marketplaces etc.) easily and without the need for additional plugins. It’s a paid-for tool, but a cut-down free version is also available.
And, unlike WooCommerce, which stores everything within WordPress, Ecwid operates externally to your site, which can reduce server strain and enhance performance.
